-- CONTINGENT FEES --

With a contingent fee agreement, the client does not pay any attorney's fees unless the attorney obtains a recovery. Based on the complexity of the case, the attorney is paid a percentage from the total amount of the recovery. Other than expenses incurred, the client is not obligated to pay any money.

The percentage to be charged on a contingent fee case, to a large extent, depends on the complexity of the case, ranging from 33.3% to 50%. The more complex the case the more time, resources and financing is required. Often times, attorneys advance many thousands of dollars in expenses, including expert witness fees.

At Zywicki Law Offices, we offer contingency fee agreements for civil prosecution and personal injury cases. All other matters are billed at an hourly rate.

-- HOURLY FEES --

Zywicki Law Offices charges $150 an hour for family law, appellate and civil defense matters and an hourly rate of $200 for criminal matters, civil restraining orders, sealing criminal records and emergency matters. A minimum retainer is required for all hourly fee matters prior to the initiation of any work. The amount of retainer required varies depending on the complexity of the case. A retainer is a deposit that is maintained in a bank on behalf of the client and, as work is performed, the charges are deducted from the retainer. Any funds remaining will be refunded to the client.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
